What is 28 Plays Later?

On January 4th, 2018, my friend Melissa pinged me in Messenger:

And so I signed up!

Like NaNoWriMo, it’s a writing challenge, but instead of writing a novel in a month, every day in February you write a short play.

As the start got closer, I started getting a little worried that it would distract me from my job search, but having to set aside an hour or three every day to do something creative has been a lifesaver.  I’m posting all the finished “plays” here in case anyone wants to see them.

2019 Saw the return of 28PL, and it was just as much fun as the first go round.

I took 2020 off, because I was supposed to be working on taking Bookends to Edinburgh Fringe. Thanks for that, Pandemic. Sigh.

But I’m back for 2021!
